TRONITY launches collaboration with NIO

TRONITY has entered into a cooperation agreement with NIO, a global company for premium smart electric vehicles. Effective immediately, TRONITY’s applications are available for all models of the premium brand, such as the ET5 Touring and the EL6 and EL8 SUVs.
TRONITY provides its users with extensive insights into their vehicle data—without requiring any additional hardware. These insights include battery status, range based on driving style, and tracking charging costs. Among the most popular features are a digital, tax-office-approved driver’s log and the precise billing option for charging electric vehicles at home. This feature allows company-car drivers to charge at home and accurately bill their employer.
In addition to regular charging sessions at a charging station, TRONITY now supports battery swap data for NIO models through its app. NIO is currently the only EV manufacturer in Europe to offer its customers the option of battery swapping. At NIO Power Swap Stations, a depleted battery can be exchanged for a charged one within minutes—meaning drivers can continue their journey without a lengthy charging break.
Torsten Born, CEO and Co-Founder:
“Our goal is to make TRONITY’s applications available to as many electric vehicle brands as possible in the mid-term. This means maximum flexibility not only for private users but also for fleet managers who often oversee various brands. Our easy-to-use home charging reimbursement and digital driver’s log will now benefit all NIO users as well.”
Marius Keil, Lead Product Experience Manager at NIO:
“With TRONITY, we have found a partner who shares our vision of continuously improving the user experience. Thanks to the seamless integration, our users benefit from numerous additional features—something they’ve often requested. As a user-centered company, we ensure NIO users can flexibly integrate their vehicles into their preferred ecosystem—free of charge and available to both new and existing customers in Europe.”
TRONITY Fleet for centralized fleet management
With TRONITY Fleet, the company offers an intelligent web application designed specifically to meet the needs of fleet operators. This solution reveals the potential and cost-saving opportunities of electrifying company fleets. From a central dashboard, fleet managers can monitor all key information, including battery status and total operating costs. And because all TRONITY applications are brand-agnostic, NIO models can now also be seamlessly integrated into fleet management.
